GANGTOK, June 1: Area MLA Em Prasad Sharma today inaugurated the Livelihood School of driving training at Singbel gram administrative centre which will function as a main centre for imparting driving skills to unemployed youth from different parts of Sikkim.
            Speaking on the occasion, Sharma highlighted the objective behind the establishment of Livelihood Schools by the State government, which he said, was to empower unemployed youth with various livelihood skills for becoming self-sustainable. He urged all participants to leverage this opportunity to become productive and self-employed.
            Livelihood Schools administrator SD Dhakal said that the trainees would be provided with driving licenses after three months of training at the Singbel Livelihood School. Trainees can also get soft loans from SIDICO for purchasing their own vehicles, he said.
